Habitat: Thickets, prairies.

Height: Low twining vine, with vines extending up to 8 feet

Bloom Period: June - October

Description: Annual vine. Leaves composed of 3 leaflets, slightly hairy on underneath surfaces. Grows in moist, sandy soil but tolerates dry conditions. Flowers are large and showy. Seed pods are like small green beans.

Propagation Tips: Self seeds freely.
